BLCKTEC 430: How to READ and ERASE codes

Purpose

To provide you with steps on how to read and clear codes.

Step 1 - Select scan type.

After connecting your BLCKTEC 430 and pairing it to the RepairSolutions2 App, you can perform three types of scans in the home menu. Select any of the following three scan types you want to perform:

Check Engine
Read Codes
Whole System

Step 2 - Wait until the app reads the data from your vehicle.

The app will read data from your vehicle, including the odometer.

Step 3 - Select 'Generate Report.'

After your vehicle's odometer is read by the app, select 'Generate Report.'

While generating the report, ensure your vehicle is turned to the 'ON' position, and your mobile phone is close to your BLCKTEC 430.

Once the report is generated, a 'Done' message will be shown on the screen.

Note: your vehicle’s odometer mileage should automatically be recorded in the Odometer field.

Step 4 - View 'Report Page.'

The 'Report Page' will appear after the mobile app is done generating reports. It will show the number of codes found and a 'Results' link that navigates to your codes in detail. To access the DTC codes list, select 'Results.'

Step 5 - Select 'Erase Codes.

If you want to clear the report after completing repairs, you can erase the vehicle's codes. Scroll down the screen and select 'Erase Codes.'

Step 6 - Select the codes you wish to erase.

After selecting 'Erase Codes', a dialog screen will appear that will let you select the codes you wish to erase

Step 7 - Select Continue.

After selecting the codes you want to be erased, a successful deletion prompt screen will appear to notify you that the system successfully completed erasing your codes.

Select Continue to exit.
