BLCKTEC 430: How to find your Check Engine Report

Purpose

To explain how to run a Check Engine Light Report while using the BLCKTEC 430.

Step 1 - Select Check Engine.

After pairing the RS2 app with the BLCKTEC 430, select the Check Engine option.

Step 2 - Wait until the app reads the data from your vehicle.

The RS2 app will read data from your vehicle, including the odometer.

Step 3 - Select Generate Report.

After your vehicle's odometer is read by the RS2 app, select Generate Report.

While generating the report, ensure your vehicle is turned to the ON position, and your mobile phone is close to your BLCKTEC 430.

Once the report is generated, a Done message will be shown on the screen.

Note: your vehicle’s odometer mileage should automatically be recorded in the Odometer field.

Step 4 -View Report Page.

After the RS2 app finishes generating your report, the Report Page will appear showing the number of codes found. To access the codes, select Results.

Step 5 - Select Show Other Possible Fix in the Primary Code to view more details.

Once you select Results, the RepairSolutions 2 app will automatically navigate you toward the check engine report. Scroll down to check all primary codes, stored codes, pending codes, and permanent codes related to the check engine light. For more information on the primary code, select 'Show other possible fix.'

Step 6 - View details.

After selecting 'Show other possible fix', the RS2 RepairSolutions2 app will display the severity, definition, and affect the primary code has on your vehicle.
