BLCKTEC 400: How to Erase Check Engine Codes

Purpose

To know how to erase DTCs while using the BLCKTEC 400.

Step 1 - Press the Red Erase button.

After scanning your vehicle and retrieving a list of DTC codes, wait until the codes display on the Code Reader’s LCD as indicated in the image.

Press and hold down the Red Erase button to delete your OBD2 DTC codes.

Step 2 - The ERASE notification screen will display.

The LCD will indicate 'ERASE?' for your confirmation.

Press down and release the ERASE red button again to continue erasing your codes.

Note: If you change your mind and do not wish to erase the codes, press the DTC/DOWN ▼ button to return to the code retrieval function.

Step 3 - Confirmation that you have erased the OBD2 DTC.

 A confirmation message 'Done' will appear once your codes have been successfully erased.

Note: If unsuccessful, a confirmation message 'Sent' will appear.
