BLCKTEC 440: Viewing In Use Performance Tracking

Purpose

To guide you on how to view the in-use performance tracking while using the BLCKTEC 440.

Introduction

The Diagnostic Tool can retrieve In-use Performance Tracking (IPT) statistics for monitors supported by the vehicle under test. Two values are returned for each monitor; the number of times that all conditions necessary for a specific monitor to detect a malfunction have been encountered (XXXCOND), and the number of times that the vehicle has been operated under the specific conditions for the monitor (XXXCOMP). Statistics are also provided for the number of times the vehicle has been operated in OBD monitoring conditions (OBDCOND), and the number of times the vehicle’s engine has been started (IGNCNTR).

Step 1 - Press the MENU button.

To view your Vehicle ID Information, press the MENU button.

Step 2 - Select Vehicle Information, then press ENTER ↵.

The Main Menu will display.

Scroll down the screen using the DOWN ▼ button and select Vehicle Information.

Step 3 - Select IPT, then press ENTER ↵.

The Vehicle Information menu will display.

Press the DOWN ▼ button and select IPT, then press ENTER ↵.

Step 4 - When the retrieval process is completed, your vehicle ID information will display.

If In-use Performance Tracking is not available for the vehicle, an advisory message will display.

Select Back to return to the Vehicle Information menu or select Exit to return to the Main Menu.

After you have finished viewing your retrieved In-Use Performance Tracking statistics, press the MENU button to return to the Main Menu.
