Viewing Drive Cycle Procedures

Performing a Drive Cycle for a Monitor requires that the vehicle is driven in such a way that all the required Enabling Criteria for the Monitor to run and complete its diagnostic testing are met. You can use the BLCKTEC 440 to view the Drive Cycle procedures for a selected Monitor.

Step 1 - Press the MENU button.

To navigate to Drive Cycle Procedures, press the MENU button.

Step 2 - Select Drive Cycle Procedures, then press ENTER ↵.

The Main Menu will display.

Scroll using the DOWN ▼ button and select Drive Cycle Procedures, then press ENTER ↵.

Step 3 - Select Incomplete Monitors or Complete Monitors, as desired, then press ENTER ↵.

When the monitor status has been retrieved, the Drive Cycle Procedures menu will display.

Depending on the monitor status, you can view Drive Cycle procedures for Complete Monitors or Incomplete Monitors.

A list of available monitors for the selected status will display.

If no monitors for the selected status are detected, an advisory message will show.

Scroll down using the DOWN ▼ button.

Select the monitor for which you wish to view Drive Cycle Procedures, then press ENTER ↵.

Note: If Drive Cycle Procedures are not available for the vehicle, an advisory message will show. Select Back to return to the Main Menu.

Step 4 - View the Drive Cycle Procedures.

The Drive Cycle Procedure screen will show the specific set of operating procedures that ensure the vehicle is driven in such a way that all the required Enabling Criteria for the monitor to run and complete its diagnostic testing are met.

Scroll using the UP ▲ and DOWN ▼ buttons.

When you are finished viewing the Drive Cycle Procedures, press the ENTER ↵ button to return to the Drive Cycle Procedures menu, or press the MENU button to return to the Main Menu.
