RepairSolutions2: Setup BLCKTEC dongle with iPhone or iPad

Purpose:

To guide you on pairing your BLCKTEC with your iPhone & iPad using the RepairSolutions2 App.

Step 1 - Get the RepairSolutions2 App

On your iPhone or iPad, download the RepairSolutions2 app. You can view the app's information online here: iPhone App Store Alternatively, you can:

Open your App Store app on your mobile device.
Search for RepairSolutions2.
Select the download button to begin downloading the app.

Step 2 - Open the RS2 App

Look for the RepairSol2 app icon and select it.

Step 3 - Create an Account

Once installed, open the App and create your account, you will need:

Email
New Password
Zip or Postal Code

Read and check the box I agree to the EULA/Terms and Privacy Policy.

After completing these steps, select Continue.

Step 4 - Proceed to RS2 App

If you have a compatible OBD2 device, select Yes to begin connecting the app.

Step 5 - Connect to Bluetooth

A Bluetooth connection is required for your app to work with your OBD2 device. If this popup appears, select OK.

Note: Always make sure your Bluetooth is turned on before you pair your device and while you are performing a scan using the app.

Step 6 - Plug your BLCKTEC Dongle into your vehicle

If you are unsure where to plug your device into your vehicle, select the options at the bottom of the screen to find your OBD2 DLC Port.

Step 7 - Turn your Vehicle On

Turn your vehicle to the ON position. You do not need to start your vehicle.

On this screen:

Check all three boxes once your Bluetooth is on, your OBD2 device is plugged into your vehicle, and your car ignition is turned on.
Select Continue.

Step 8 - Pairing to your BLCKTEC dongle

	Wait for the app to search for your device. Select your device once it appears on the list.
	Give your device a moment to pair with the app.
	Once the Success prompt appears in the app, select Continue.

Step 9 - Select an option to begin scanning your vehicle

Once your device is paired to the app, and you added your vehicle information, the system will allow you to begin scanning your vehicle for codes and engine problems.
